On March 18, the RIS laboratory in Parma will begin the unique investigations ordered by the Modena Prosecutor's Office into the bra cup found on January 1 in a ruined building in Vitriola di Montefiorino, near a skull that turned out to be that of Daniela Ruggi, the 32-year-old who disappeared in 2024. A murder investigation has been opened in the case, against unknown persons.
"In the interest of my client Alberto Ruggi, who, it should be emphasized, is merely the injured party in the murder proceedings against his sister Daniela, I will avail myself of the technical expertise of two excellent professionals," says attorney Deborah De Cicco, who represents the missing woman's brother. "They will support me in all the technical and scientific activities involved in the case and will put their great value and expertise to work to uncover the truth."
They are "Dr. Marina Baldi, a distinguished geneticist and biologist who will already be present and will assist me in the unique technical investigations," a geneticist from Andrea Sempio's team in the Garlasco case. "And Dr. Armando Palmegiani, a crime scene expert and prestigious criminologist. I am honored to have two of the leading experts in the field at my side, and I trust that the entire case will be shed light on," adds Attorney De Cicco.
