He tries to save a boy who fell down a cliff but falls too: scout leader dead

A 59-year-old scout leader died this afternoon in Bosco di Corniglio, in the Parma area, on Monte Tavola in the Costa degli Spini area.

The man died after a 13- or 14-year-old scout, a member of a hiking group in the Parma Apennines, fell down a cliff. It was reported that while trying to rescue him, the scout also fell.

The SAER Alpine Rescue team, Eliparma, Elipavullo, the Fire Brigade, and the Carabinieri responded to the scene. The minor was taken to Parma hospital with a moderately serious injury by 118 helicopter.
