Two people are being investigated by the Rome Prosecutor's Office in the investigation into the death threats and insults against Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, published in recent weeks on Telegram channels after his statements in support of the Ukrainian people.
The carabinieri of the Capitoline Operations Department searched the homes of a 46-year-old from the province of Milan and a 48-year-old from the province of Syracuse. Neither, as we learn, belongs to extremist fringes.
The carabinieri of the Telematic Investigations Section traced back to the account of the two from whom the threats were launched. During the searches, cell phones probably used to send threatening messages to the minister were seized.
Investigations are underway to identify further authors of threats to Di Maio.
