“Now he's free”, the babysitter's shocking phrase after the baby's fall

" Now he is free ": these are the words spoken by the babysitter who was arrested yesterday for the attempted murder of a one-year-old child in Soliera, in the Modena area.
He would have thrown him off the second floor on purpose , the little one is now hospitalized in stable but critical conditions at the Maggiore hospital in Bologna.
The sentence of the woman, 32 years old, was reported by some neighbors who yesterday morning saw her motionless, in front of the window , while the child was on the pavement below.
The babysitter was questioned by the investigators but was unable to reconstruct the facts: "My client is in a confused state , she does not realize what happened and it was impossible to provide a factual reconstruction of what happened" , explained his lawyer, Francesca Neri.
Among the elements that fit the 32-year-old not only the testimonies of the neighbors, also that of a cleaning lady who, at least in part, saw the woman while she deliberately dropped the child from the window . It is not clear if the witness was inside the apartment, on another floor or in the courtyard under the terraced house, what is certain is that her words are one of the elements against the arrested babysitter.
