Arranged for the exhumation of the body of Rossella Fiato, 34 years old who died last April 4 in her home in Sparanise (Caserta) in front of her children

It will be the autopsy to shed light on a death initially believed to be attributable to natural causes. Now the prosecutors of Santa Maria Capua Vetere want to see clearly, it is not excluded that the effects of the contraceptive pills prescribed by a doctor who qualified as a gynecologist on the Internet but who has no specialization caused the death.

Rossella was alone in the house with her children when she felt ill: they were the ones to warn the neighbors who, in turn, alerted the emergency services. All in vain, there was nothing for her to do.

The prosecutor Nicola Camerlingo has opened a file for manslaughter against unknown persons, ordering the exhumation of the body for the autopsy. The decision came after the complaint presented at the end of April by her husband, assisted by the lawyer Salvatore Piccolo, according to which the effects of the birth control pill that the woman had started to take, a few days before dying, would have caused the death. for menstrual cycle problems.

One thing that her husband discovered a few weeks after his death: on Whatsapp you can see texts, audio and photos exchanged with the alleged gynecologist to whom the 34-year-old, very religious, had addressed without saying anything to her husband, perhaps because she was embarrassed to take the pill. .

From the messages it emerged that Rossella, already after taking the first pill, had suffered from fainting and pain in her legs , which had swollen; the doctor, contacted via chat, however, advised her to drink more and to use pillows under her feet when she was in bed. The advice was useless, so much so that the 34-year-old, after three days of problems, went to her doctor, who ordered her to stop taking the birth control pill and to do some tests.

Rossella again contacted the professional who, almost annoyed, told her to follow the advice of the family doctor. The 34-year-old went for tests on April 4, then returned home where she barely had time to tell her three children that she wasn't feeling well, before falling lifeless to the ground and never getting up again.
