"Die badly, and perhaps at the hands of the people", "Yes, come on, arm us and then we will decide who we want to shoot at". These are just some of the messages of threats against Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio published by three people that the police identified and subjected to a house search.

The investigation was initiated by the Postal Police Service and coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rome, with the operators of the Postal Police Departments of Milan, Trieste and Venice, together with the staff of the Digos of Milan, Vicenza and Udine.

The messages were Twitter responses to Di Maio's posts about the conflict in Ukraine. Not only that: within reserved Telegram channels, the Postal Service has identified other messages with threats such as: "But a sniper ... who will kill us the 4 destroyers of Italy, can't we send him?".

The searches, carried out in Milan, Vicenza and Udine, made it possible to find on the phones the presence of anonymous accounts used for forwarding messages.
