Last August 15th Annamaria Franzoni returned to her villa in Cogne , in the province of Aosta, where on January 30, 2002, the murder of her son Samuele took place, a crime for which she was sentenced to 16 years in prison.

This was revealed by the weekly “Giallo” , which publishes the photographs exclusively.

As reconstructed in the course of the trial, the infanticide took place precisely within those walls, with a heavy and sharp object, never found, which served to fatally hit the three-year-old boy 17 times in the head .

From that terrible day, one of the most followed and controversial crime reports of the last 40 years began.

In the photos published by "Giallo" you can see Annamaria Franzoni, now 51, entering the house. The latter seems in perfect order : there are flowers on the windows and the garden is well maintained.

Franzoni has always proclaimed herself innocent and finished her sentence in 2018. The 16 years of imprisonment were reduced to less than 11 thanks to the pardon and days of early release .

It is not the first time that together with her husband they have returned to the villa which, recently, has still been in the spotlight. First because of a foreclosure and, then, because of an alleged trespass.
