First application - after its entry into force at midnight on 8 December - of the Roccella law which strengthens the rules of the Red Code.
The deputy prosecutor of Rimini, Davide Ercolani, has signed a decree prohibiting a 49-year-old from Alba (Cuneo) from approaching within a thousand meters, under investigation for private violence and persecutory acts against his ex-partner.
The man, released from prison where he served a sentence for stalking, attempted to attack his ex-wife again yesterday morning. Having identified her car in traffic, he drove alongside it and attempted to break the window. The woman managed to take refuge in a petrol station, avoiding the worst, then she was reached by the police and the complaint was made.
