Therefore, on October 15, the obligation of a Green pass for access to workplaces, as established by the Council of Ministers, also for the private sector and not only the public administration, and for VAT numbers, for those who work with occasional services and self-employed workers.

Late yesterday evening a clarification was made regarding the suspension of salary (among the sanctions provided by the government): "The salary is not due from the first day of absence".

The pay stop is triggered, explains the document, from the first day for public and private workers who do not have a green certificate. In the public, those who do not have a Green pass are considered "unjustified absentee" and after the fifth day of absence the employment relationship is suspended. In the private sector, on the other hand, the worker is absent without the right to remuneration until the pass is presented. No disciplinary consequences and no dismissals, in both cases.

Furthermore, the CDM always specifies, there is no obligation to have a Green pass for those who are exempt from vaccination against Covid, not even for access to the workplace. But the exempt will have the right, if they wish, to swab for free.
