The Milan Carabinieri are viewing the images from the surveillance cameras of the building in Via degli Apuli in the Giambellino district of Milan, where a one-month-old baby was abandoned yesterday in a stroller on the ground floor landing.
Next to the little boy there was a message written in Arabic: " Mum is dead, I can't take care of him ."
For this reason, research is underway in all Milanese hospitals, so far without success, but no women have recently died after giving birth .
"I live nearby but you don't know me" was written on the note and the military is interviewing as many people as possible who live in the public housing blocks that make up the area.
The newborn, who is fine, was taken to the Polyclinic hospital while both the minors' prosecutor's office and the ordinary prosecutor's office were informed of the matter . It should have been left on the landing around 4pm. It was a resident of the building who raised the alarm: when he opened the door to go out he found the child.
In the meantime, the Milan Prosecutor's Office has opened a case on the hypothesis of the crime of child abandonment . The investigation, conducted by the Carabinieri, was entrusted to the prosecutor Sara Ombra.
