“Willy didn't even touch him with a finger . I would not have been able, even if I had wanted to, to do what I am accused of ".

This is what was stated by Gabriele Bianchi , one of the four accused of the murder of Willy Monteiro Duarte, the boy who was beaten to death in Colleferro (Frosinone) in September 2020.

Bianchi, for whom the prosecutor of Velletri called for life imprisonment as well as for his brother Marco, made spontaneous declarations before the Frosinone Court of Assizes in the trial on the atrocious crime, which has reached the final stages. For the other two defendants, Francesco Belleggia and Mario Pincarelli , the prosecutor asked for a sentence of 24 years. All four of the defendants are in prison .

“Willy - added Gabriele - deserves justice as his family deserves it. I wish I could go back to that damn night and change everything. I still dream of returning to my family and raising my son ”.

THE DEFENSIVE THESIS

The lawyer Massimiliano Pica , defender of the Bianchi brothers, points to full acquittal: " None of the 25 eyewitnesses could clearly see what happened the night of the beating," he said in a packed courtroom and in the presence of Willy's parents.

"At the time of the beating - added the lawyer - it was dark and no one was able to clearly see what was happening because of too many people present." Pica, during his speech, showed a reconstruction of the place of the aggression with photos and slides.

THE JUDGMENT SLIDES

The first-degree sentence on the crime postponed to July 14 , announced the president of the Frosinone Court of Assizes before giving the floor to the defense.
