Four people died in a traffic accident on State Road 123, near Naro (Agrigento). According to initial reports, the victims were four workers who were on their way to the fields for work: they were in a car that collided with a truck. Firefighters and Carabinieri responded.

The victims are all from Canicattì: Antonio Agrò, 64; Diego Giordano, 53; Antonino Di Vincenzo, 60; and Gioacchino Liborio. The driver of the heavy vehicle was reportedly unharmed.

Firefighters extracted the bodies of the workers from the car, which was crushed by the violent impact with the truck. Carabinieri and police conducted investigations to reconstruct the circumstances of the fatal accident.

Traffic on the highway was blocked to allow the vehicles to be removed.
