Italian monuments targeted by vandals.

Yesterday evening around 10 pm some writers defaced the pediment of the arch of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, one of the iconic places in Milan.

The large inscription is also clearly visible from the Piazza del Duomo. In a video released on social networks, the writers, who then fled, are also seen in action.

The fire brigade with the local police intervened on the spot, the hunt for vandals is open.

"Endless shame, we will do everything to get the police to catch these thugs," commented Matteo Salvini.

It doesn't end here, because the police yesterday blocked a 19-year-old French tourist while on the Leaning Tower of Pisa she was carving a column of the seventh ring with a sharp object.

The 19-year-old was accompanied to the police station and admitted her responsibilities, explaining to the policemen that she had engraved the initials of her name and that of her boyfriend in the drawing of her heart. The police reported her for aggravated damage to the national archaeological, historical and artistic heritage.
