A Sardinian lawyer and two carers sentenced to 2 and a half years by the Court of Milan for having defrauded a former university professor.

These are - reports the Corriere della Sera - Stefano Marcia, 62 years old, Emanuele F, 55 years old, and Gianpiero F, 68 years old, accused of "circumvention of an incapable person".

According to what was reconstructed from the investigations, the two carers were initially at the service of the former teacher's sister, in black, and when their employer died they began to do handyman for the 87-year-old teacher.

Over the years, taking advantage of the former teacher's seniority and fragility, they allegedly began to "extort" her money , first with the excuse of arrears of contributions, then with other claims, up to a total of around 2 million euros .

All with the help, continues the Corriere, of the Sardinian lawyer, to whom the two carers would have turned to release some money deposited in the bank.

The prosecutor's office and the carabinieri learned of the story after the woman filed a complaint, solicited by a former student of hers . However, the two would have convinced her to withdraw the lawsuit, but the military had now started the investigation and the investigation thus continued until the trial and the sentence.

Again according to Corriere, the three would also have tried to convince the woman to exclude her closest family members from her will, who formed themselves as civil parties.
