Another tram accident in Milan , but this time, fortunately, with no injuries or fatalities. The incident occurred this morning on a tram on line 27 operating on Via Marco Bruto.

According to the reconstruction, the fall of an overhead power cable caused a contact and a flame with a lot of smoke that invaded the cabin.

The emergency number 112 was then called and the firefighters immediately intervened, putting out the fire before it could cause further damage. A 118 ambulance was dispatched to the scene as a precaution. No injuries or poisoning were reported .

Today's accident is the fourth in less than two weeks involving ATM surface vehicles. The first occurred on February 27th, with the derailment on Via Vittorio Veneto , which resulted in the deaths of two people. During the night between Saturday, March 7th and Sunday, March 8th, another tram left the tracks on Via Galvani , not far from the Central Station. Just two days ago, a vehicle operating on line 15 left the tracks on Via Curiel .
