The 44-year-old woman who yesterday, driving a Mercedes, hit six people in Lido di Camaiore (Lucca), including two German girls aged 18 and 19, on holiday in Versilia, who died instantly, is under house arrest for road homicide .

From what we learned, the driver, who lives in Viareggio, tested negative for alcohol and drugs. Five other people ended up in hospital, one of whom is in very serious condition .

The other four people hit were also foreigners - three of them are French and one German -, the most serious was taken to the hospital in red code. The driver was also taken to the hospital for toxicology tests, which came back negative, and another woman who was traveling with her in the Mercedes, who was in a state of shock.

On the dynamics of what happened, based on the reconstruction made immediately, it seems that the 44-year-old, while traveling along Via Italica, would have crossed two intersections at full speed. But the collisions would have occurred after the Mercedes would have mounted the sidewalk, hitting the two girls first and then the other people and also knocking down a pole . The traffic police are continuing to investigate what may have happened. The woman, based on what has emerged, would have appeared in a state of confusion and, according to what has been reported by the press, would have said that she had done nothing and did not remember anything .
