Investigations are underway in L'Aquila after the discovery of the lifeless body of a 60-year-old Sardinian man in the historic centre. He would have been involved in an argument that ended in tragedy.

Teodoro Ullasci, born in 1964 and resident for some time at the Case di Tempera Project, one of the earthquake-proof neighborhoods built since 2009, on the outskirts of the capital, was apparently attacked by some people yesterday afternoon. When the rescuers arrived on site, in via Fortebraccio, they attempted a desperate resuscitation, but everything was in vain.

From an initial inspection carried out by the medical examiner, no injuries caused by firearms or cutting weapons appear to have emerged. The 60-year-old Sardinian may have hit his head on the ground or been killed by an illness during a fight.

The police are following the investigations, without excluding any leads, including that of murder. The images from the video surveillance cameras are being examined by investigators.
