Hit by an SUV while he was in the stroller with his grandmother, a nine-month-old baby died today, six days after the terrible accident in which he was seriously injured.
The tragedy took place in the locality of Pagliare di Morro d'Oro, in the Teramo area. The grandmother was carrying her grandchild in the stroller and was crossing on the pedestrian crossing when an SUV came at full speed and overwhelmed them.
The little one, resuscitated on the spot from 118 and hospitalized in desperate conditions in Teramo, was transferred by helicopter to the Infant Jesus of Rome. But the clinical picture was very serious and there was nothing to do: the child never recovered, until today's death.
The grandmother has suffered numerous fractures but is not life threatening. At the wheel of the SUV there was an elderly man over eighty who now faces the charge of road murder. The Police had intervened on the spot for the reliefs.
