The 51-year-old who died yesterday in a tragic workplace accident in Basiano, in the Milan area, was originally from Villacidro.

Boris Aru, according to what has been reconstructed so far, was hit by a heavy vehicle while the driver was carrying out a manoeuvre. He didn't have a chance.

Aru was the manager of the cooperative that operates inside the warehouse of a supermarket chain in Via Alfieri. He was walking near a curve to access the area when the truck hit him. The driver, in shock: "I didn't see him," continued to repeat to the rescuers.

The 51-year-old's partner, who works in the same warehouse, fell ill when she was informed of the incident.
