Tragedy in the province of Brescia.

A 39-year-old tourist from Campania died in the night after sinking while swimming in Lake Garda.

Rescued and pulled ashore, he was taken to hospital in desperate conditions and the doctors' attempts to save his life proved futile.

According to an initial reconstruction, the man dived into the waters in front of the Le Sirene port of Salò, but while swimming he was seen in difficulty and immediately ended up underwater, perhaps following an illness.

Hearing the screams of the friend who was with him, the rescue was triggered, but the rush to the emergency room, as mentioned, was in vain.
