Now it is shortly. Two years and three months after the start of the coronavirus nightmare, everything changes from Sunday 1st May. Italy also says goodbye to the Green pass, while the obligation to wear masks in various indoor places remains until June 15, in all the others the use of devices is only “recommended”.

A farewell to numerous restrictions, a new step towards the exit from the health emergency, with all the necessary precautions because the number of infections shows no sign of decreasing. Here, in detail, what changes starting from May 1st.

MASKS - Until June 15, it remains the obligation to wear the Ffp2 in local and long-distance public transport, in cinemas, theaters, entertainment and live music venues and for all indoor sports events and competitions. Same thing for users, workers and visitors of hospitals, health facilities and RSA. In other workplaces the devices remain “recommended”, as well as at mass and in shops and shopping centers in the event of gatherings.
GREEN PASS - The Green pass goes on file, which will be required until December 31st only to enter the RSA and hospitals as visitors. Even if the certificate is no longer mandatory, it is advisable to complete the vaccination cycle: “Many - says Undersecretary of Health Pierpaolo Sileri - are not taking the third dose and this poses problems especially for certain age groups.

VACCINES - The vaccination obligation for over 50s, law enforcement agencies and the school sector remains in force until June 15: these categories, if they do not vaccinate, will continue to incur the penalty of 100 euros. Visitors to RSAs and healthcare professionals will continue to be required to complete the primary vaccination cycle plus a swab or vaccination with three doses until 31 December.
SMART WORKING - The possibility of using it even in the absence of individual agreements for private sector workers has been extended until 31 August.
SCHOOL - The obligation to wear masks, even if only surgical, remains until the end of the school year, "except for children up to six years of age, for people with pathologies or disabilities incompatible with the use of the aforementioned devices and for carrying out sporting activities ".

TRAVEL - The Passenger Locator Form (PLF), the form used by the health authorities for travel, for anyone who wants to enter or leave for abroad, expires. The rules for arrivals from foreign countries, which provide for the Green pass or a quick buffer, have been extended until May 31st.
LATEST DEADLINES - June 15th, when Italy will say goodbye to masks in all places indoors. With the end of the school year, the obligation in schools will also expire. On the same date, the vaccination obligation for over 50s, law enforcement agencies and school workers will cease. Simplified smart working will expire on 31 August, while on 31 December the vaccination obligation for healthcare workers and hospital and RSA workers will expire. Also at the end of the year, the compulsory vaccination or tampon is also stopped to visit the RSAs.
