Emma Bonino hospitalized: "She is in serious condition."
The historic radical figure was rushed to Santo Spirito Hospital, but a few months ago she fell ill again. In 2015, she was diagnosed with lung cancer.

Emma Bonino admitted to Santo Spirito Hospital in Rome.
The 78-year-old +Europa leader was transported by ambulance to the emergency room of a Roman hospital with critical condition. According to medical sources cited by Corriere della Sera, her condition is critical.
This is the same hospital where Bonino was admitted at the end of 2025 after falling ill and being admitted to intensive care.
The historic radical figure, a protagonist in politics and civil rights battles for decades, announced in 2015 that she had been struck by lung cancer and had undergone a long course of treatment.
