Guinness-worthy asparagus harvested yesterday in Molise, in the Acciarelli district in Riccia (Campobasso).

Probably the longest in the world, measuring 4.12 meters.

It emerged from the ground and reached the highest branches of the trees merging with the vegetation, but it did not escape the sight of Salvatore Ciocca who, incredulous, made a video before cutting it. And then he measured it.

«When I saw it – he said – I thought it wasn't an asparagus because it was too tall and I couldn't see the end among the vegetation. Clearly not everything was edible, but we ate it together with a traditional pizza with mozzarella: it was excellent».
