Four local police officers under investigation: they are accused of torture

Four agents of the local police of Sassuolo have been suspended from service because they are under investigation for the crime of torture against a man of Moroccan nationality.

These are two agents and two assistants, the latter also accused of ideological falsehood in a public deed for having drawn up a false service report.

The provision - ordered by the Gip of the Modena court and requested by the Public Prosecutor's Office - starts from a complaint by the general director of the Sassuolo hospital for a fact in October 2021.

According to the complaint, the 4 allegedly attacked the man while he was in the emergency room for a hypoglycemic crisis.
