Fire in the house, dies disabled: he was stuck in the bedroom

Tragedy in Terrasini, in the province of Palermo.

A 58-year-old disabled man, Agostino Tortorici, died in the fire that broke out last night in his apartment on the first floor of a building.

The alarm was given to the fire brigade around 2 am.

Smoke and flames invested the building in a few minutes, the caregiver at home was unable to reach the 58-year-old in the bedroom and rescue him .

The operations to extinguish the fire and clean up the apartment ended at dawn. In addition to the firefighters, the carabinieri attended the scene. The origin of the fire is being investigated.
