Father and son fall from the sixth floor, the possibility of suicide is not ruled out

Investigations continue in Palermo after the death of a man, which occurred yesterday in via Ausonia . The 38-year-old, university professor of engineering, fell from the sixth floor of a building together with his 4-year-old son. The child is hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Di Cristina hospital, he is awake but is being monitored for the trauma he suffered.

He has a fractured arm and wounds to his chest and abdomen.

Investigators are trying to reconstruct what happened. At the moment neither the accident nor the voluntary act are ruled out. Some residents said they saw the child lean out and the professor try to grab him by the leg. Others that the two were holding hands. It seems that the professor was under pressure to gain custody of his son after his wife's death a year ago.
