Extortion of Berlusconi, the Olgettina Giovanna Rigato on trial: «She wanted a million in exchange for silence»
The proceedings could have been concluded today if Cav's heirs had given up. But the children of the late FI leader have filed a civil action
Giovanna Rigato on trial on charges of attempted extortion against Silvio Berlusconi .
The Olgettina, former Big Brother contestant, would have attempted to extort a million euros from the late senator and leader of Forza Italia. He demanded that sum in exchange for his silence on the evening at Villa San Martino in Arcore .
This is what emerged today in court in Monza. The hearing could have represented the end of the trial, if Cav's heirs had given up: but Silvio Berlusconi's five children have joined the civil action , so the trial continues and the next hearing will be held on April 17th.
Rigato, defended by lawyers Stefano Gerunda and Corrado Viazzo, has always denied any wrongdoing.
