Economic subsidies for the pandemic, 107 "crafty" discovered
Investigation by the carabinieri who concluded the "Easy Voucher" operation
The carabinieri of Gioia Tauro, as part of the “Easy Voucher” operation, denounced 107 people for false ideology and aggravated fraud. The investigations concern requests for economic subsidies in the context of the Covid-19 health emergency.
Through the documentary analysis of the requests, the military carried out the investigations identifying the numerous irregularities in particular as regards the indication of the real residence or of the members of the family unit, given that the law establishes that the donation must be made taking into account also of the actual "family income" and not only of the individual applicant; the self-certifications deemed false also concerned the incorrect indication of the ISEE.
The discrepancies found, borne by 107 citizens (94 Italians and 13 foreigners), prevented the subsidies from being disbursed to non-eligible subjects, for an attempted total tax damage estimated at approximately 34,500 euros.
