The attack on Francesca "Checca" Sardella's car in Avellino by a 20-year-old man who fired five gunshots at the woman's car parked in Rione Mazzini, a working-class neighborhood of the capital, appears to have been linked to social jealousies, but also to commercial interests.

The woman, who advertises her business on social media, is a street vendor of hot dogs. In recent days, she was reported for illegal activity by the Avellino Financial Police, and her kiosk was seized.

Last night, the young man went to the police station and admitted his responsibility. From a moving car, he struck the Audi Q3 of the woman who witnessed the shooting from her balcony. It was the "Hotdog Queen," as the TikTok user calls herself in the videos, who reported the incident.

The young man was charged at large with aggravated damage and illegal possession of a firearm . Investigations are ongoing to identify other alleged accomplices.
