Drug money invested in vineyards: confiscation of assets from a drug trafficker

Four vineyards and a house in Montaldo Scarampi, for a value of 100 thousand euros, were confiscated by the Varese Finance Police, at the request of the court of Busto Arsizio, from a Dominican drug trafficker who had been living in the Asti area for years.

After the plea bargain, the sentence against the man became final and the assets have now been definitively acquired as the patrimony of the State.

During the investigation various quantities of cocaine had been seized: seven arrests between couriers and "ovulators".

In total, the criminal group that attempted to smuggle over 18 kilos of cocaine into Italy was sentenced to more than 50 years in prison.
