In a Roma camp in Rome, the carabinieri took the DNA of a 20-year-old Bosnian girl who is thought to be Denise Pipitone, the girl who disappeared on 1 September 2004 in Mazara del Vallo, in the Trapani area.
The parents of the little girl, Piera Maggio and Pietro Pulizzi, knew nothing about it before the news was released by the Rete 4 broadcast: «We were informed last night through the various messages that we received. We were unaware of anything. We look forward to any concrete news, always with our feet on the ground. We cannot afford painful illusions,” they write on their social media profiles.
The lawyer of the two, Giacomo Frazzitta, speaks of "leaks of news that shouldn't happen", because "they strike at the heart of an expectant mother and father".
