A maxi-scam worth at least 300 thousand which involved over six hundred young people throughout Italy and which in recent days has also affected Sardinia.

A scam centered on the Government's Culture Bonus due to young people who have recently come of age and which is being investigated by the Carabinieri, coordinated by the Trieste Prosecutor's Office.

In the majority of cases the modus operandi was almost always the same: the scammers stole the identities of the young people by pretending to be employees of municipal registry offices, with the task of "facilitating" the procedure for obtaining the Culture Bonus and used the data of the unfortunate victims. by illegally accessing the APP18 by preparing false purchase vouchers.

Then they activated a SPID with the real details of the young people but with a provider different from the SPID service provider of the young people in question.

At that point the Bonus money was effectively taken away from those entitled to it and spent on purchases, often at companies deemed complicit.

The investigations continue and, as mentioned, there could also be numerous cases on the island. In recent days, for example, a student from Porto Torres ( READ THE NEWS ) had discovered that his bonus, which he intended to use to purchase books, had already been spent in Nola, in the province of Naples, a place where he had never set foot. .
