The weekly incidence falls at the national level: there are 458 cases of coronavirus per 100,000 inhabitants in the period 6-12 May against 559 per 100,000 inhabitants in the previous week (29 April-5 May).

In the period April 20-May 3, the average Rt calculated on symptomatic cases was equal to 0.96 (range 0.89-1.01), and therefore substantially stable compared to the previous week. This is highlighted by the weekly ISS-Ministry of Health monitoring on the progress of the Covid-19 epidemic .

The employment rate in intensive care fell nationally to 3.4% (daily survey by the Ministry of Health as of May 12) compared to 3.7% the previous week. The employment rate in medical areas nationwide drops to 12.6% against the previous 14.5%.

However, there are still 10 regions beyond the threshold of employment of Covid patients in ordinary wards, and among these Sardinia with a figure that is updated to 15.7% .

The worst figure at national level is that recorded by Abruzzo , with an employment of 20.6% in the wards and an incidence of 766.9 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants.
