A family destroyed that of Batocchio. His father Diego, 40, died in these hours following the serious injuries sustained in the accident that occurred on Thursday in Verona between a Ducato van and a truck . The man's son, Filippo, 16, had lost his life shortly after the crash , and another 6-year-old son is hospitalized with numerous fractures.

Both vehicles were impounded and analyzes were ordered to assess the psycho-physical state of the truck driver.

The father and his two sons were traveling aboard the Ducato which, for reasons to be ascertained, ended up against the lorry, in a terrible head-on collision with tragic consequences.
