A moment of prayer and inclusion is scheduled for Saturday, September 6 , when LGBTQ+ Christians and their families will participate in a Jubilee pilgrimage through the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica. The initiative, included in the Official General Calendar of the Jubilee, is organized by Tenda di Gionata, an organization that has been promoting pastoral care for homosexual people for years.
The program includes a prayer vigil on the eve of the pilgrimage on Friday 5 September at 8pm in the Church of the Gesù in Rome , while on the morning of the pilgrimage, at 11am, a mass will be celebrated in the same place of worship.
Some representatives of "We Are Church" will participate in the Jubilee of the Synod Teams in the Vatican at the end of October . This is a first, considering that the international movement is at odds with the Holy See on many issues, from the LGBT question to the ordination of women, from the marriage of priests.
to economic reforms.
The movement was invited to the Vatican by Cardinal Mario Grech , secretary general of the Synod, from October 24 to 26. Participants will pass through the Holy Door and "will also meet Pope Leo XIV," as the Vatican news portal also reports.
