The day after the state funeral, Silvio Berlusconi's body is now in Villa San Martino. Between today and tomorrow she will be cremated in the Valencian Panta Rei temple, in the province of Alessandria. The ashes will then be kept in the mausoleum of Pietro Cascella - in the park of the same villa - alongside those of his father Luigi, mother Rosa and sister Maria Antonietta. A place designed by Berlusconi to bring family members and closest friends together in eternal rest.

Yesterday in the Duomo in Milan there were many people who came from all over Italy to give him a last farewell and pay him homage. In the churchyard - looking at the big screens - many were moved, describing him as a great politician but above all a great entrepreneur. Who sang choirs, who applauded.

Inside the church, in his homily , the archbishop recalled him as a "politician" and therefore "biased", a "businessman", a "personality always on the scene" with "admirers and detractors" but also a man "capable of going through difficult times", capable of "loving life", of "living and suffering decline and continuing to smile", capable "of loving and wanting to be loved".

To the right of the central nave was his companion Marta Fascina, next to her Marina Berlusconi, both moved to tears several times, and then Pier Silvio, Barbara, Eleonora, Luigi, her brother Paolo and just behind them their families, and Maria De Filippi, in white, one of the few who has not chosen a total black look. The ex-wife Veronica Lario (absent the first wife Carla Dall'Oglio), the ex-girlfriend Francesca Pascale and lifelong friends Marcello Dell'Utri, Adriano Galliani, Gianni Letta and Fedele Confalonieri, the doctor Alberto Zangrillo. And still behind the top management of Fininvest, Mediaset, Publitalia, personalities such as Gerry Scotti, Alba Parietti, the hyenas, Barbara D'Urso, Iva Zanicchi and even Lele Mora.

On the other side of the aisle the institutions: starting with the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, next to the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad, the President of Iraq Abdul Latif, the two regents of San Marino, the presidents of the Senate and the Chamber Ignazio La Russa and Lorenzo Fontana, the premier Giorgia Meloni, with the president of the Constitutional Court Silvana Sciarra next to him, the president of Lombardy Attilio Fontana and the mayor Giuseppe Sala. Still behind the Hungarian premier Viktor Orban, over 32 members of the government, Paolo Gentiloni representing the European Commission, the former premiers Mario Monti and Mario Draghi, in the end close to tears, Matteo Renzi, a series of governors including the president of Friuli -Venezia Giulia and Massimiliano Fedriga of the Conference of Regions, but also Cirio from Piedmont, Toti from Liguria, and Michele Emiliano, center-left president of Puglia. Elly Schlein arrived for the Democratic Party, in a black suit like Meloni, and with her Piero Fassino, Francesco Boccia and the group leader in the Chamber Chiara Braga. Behind, in the same row as the president of the EPP Manfred Weber, the group leader in the Senate Licia Ronzulli.

In the transept Umberto Bossi, the founder of the Northern League accompanied by his son Renzo, who came to honor his lifelong ally, the world of sport with Monza, the president of Milan Paolo Scaroni, Inter Zhang, Napoli De Laurentis and of Lazio Lotito, and again Boban of UEFA, Demetrio Albertini for the FIGC, the head of Coni Giovanni Malagò and, obviously, Arrigo Sacchi, Allegri, Capello.

At 16.30 the car with the body left towards Villa San Martino crossing the streets of the city.
