The charred body found in a burned car in Lecce belongs to a 69-year-old Sardinian.

The dramatic discovery was made by investigators after the firefighters who intervened in via Cavalieri Ordine di Vittorio Veneto extinguished the flames that had engulfed a Kia. The car was found to be owned by the 69-year-old originally from Cagliari but having long lived in the province of Mantua.

The man, GP, had written a message a few days ago on Facebook that made one think of an extreme gesture. In the text there is reference to some health problems, to those linked to gambling due to which he had lost a lot of money, to the people he had made suffer. And then an apology to everyone.

Those words, combined with the fact that the fire started from inside the passenger compartment, confirmed the hypothesis of suicide to the police. The body of the 69-year-old was taken to the Vito Fazzi hospital, at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
