Car ends up in an escarpment, three young people dead

A serious tragedy that occurred late yesterday evening along the Pisticci-San Basilio provincial road, in the Materano area.

A Mini Cooper in which three boys of about twenty were traveling went off the road and ended up on an escarpment. Two of the occupants died instantly, the third shortly after in hospital.

The causes of the accident are under investigation. 118 ambulances, the fire brigade and the carabinieri intervened on the spot.
