Four people in the emergency room for carbon monoxide poisoning. It happened this morning around 7 in the Marginone area, in the municipality of Altopascio (Lucca).
The firefighters intervened to verify the presence of carbon monoxide inside an apartment, inhabited by a family of Senegalese origin, composed of a father, mother and two minor children, who had complained of illness . The man and his daughter went independently to the emergency room in Pescia (Pistoia), where the doctors detected the poisoning.
The presence of carbon monoxide in the house, in the bedroom, was confirmed by the firefighters' findings, due, as we learn, to a brazier with fossil coal, used to heat the room. The medical staff then transported the mother and the other son to the emergency room in Lucca for checks.
