This is yet another demonstrative gesture by environmentalists , implemented just on the eve of the traditional first day of December 7, the day of Sant'Ambrogio, patron saint of the Lombard capital.
Those responsible for the act of vandalism, then blocked by the police, are 5 activists of the "Last Generation" group .
"No gas, no coal", the slogan that accompanied the blitz of the protesters, who were taken to the police headquarters.
La Scala staff immediately began operations to clean up the facade in view of tonight's big event.
To inaugurate the 2022/2023 opera season, in the presence of the Head of State Sergio Mattarella , the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni , Modest Musorgsky's "Boris Godunov".
