A young man from Trapani, still a minor at the time of the events, was arrested on charges of killing Salvatore Martino , 37, found dead on 26 December 2021 in a housing module owned by him in the Pegno district in the Municipality of Erice. in the province of Trapani .
The precautionary custody order in prison of the investigating judge of the Palermo juvenile court was carried out by the carabinieri of the investigative unit of the provincial command of Trapani and by police officers.
According to what was reconstructed, the suspect and the victim that day would have gone together in the prefabricated building to consume drugs bought shortly before. In the night, however, they would have had a violent quarrel for futile reasons : the young man would repeatedly hit the victim until he was killed. Arrested, he was taken to the Malaspina Institute for Minors in Palermo.
Through the video surveillance systems and telephone wiretapping carabinieri and police, coordinated by the prosecutors of the Palermo Juvenile Court, they found evidence against the young man, clues confirmed by the biological traces found at the crime scene. Some testimonies are also fundamental.
