Apartment in focus: woman dies in the flames

Tragic fire in Jesi, in the province of Ancona , where a 95-year-old woman died following a fire in an apartment.

The flames broke out in via del Forno, in the historic center. The alarm was raised by the old woman's son, residing in the same building, after hearing the screams of his mother.

He himself, with the help of a girl, was the first to try to help the old woman. But unfortunately, even after the firefighters and ambulances arrived, attempts to save her proved futile.

The son and the girl were slightly intoxicated and were rescued by 118.

On the spot, in addition to the men of 115 and the automedica, also the carabinieri, who started investigations to clarify the causes of the accident.
