The case surrounding the Cagliari-Udinese match, involving Keinan Davis's accusations against Alberto Dossena for alleged racist insults , has not been resolved with today's statement from the Sports Judge. Further investigation will be necessary before a decision on possible sanctions is made.

"The Sports Judge," the statement reads, "having read the match director's report and the Federal Prosecutor's Office's report, orders a further investigation by the Prosecutor's Office itself in order to acquire, including through witness statements or audio/video documents, information regarding the incident, reserving the right to decide on the sanctions to be imposed on the members involved." In other words, it will be the Federal Prosecutor's Office that will assess whether there is sufficient evidence to support Davis' accusations against Dossena .

Cagliari Calcio responded to a harsh statement from Udinese on Saturday evening by expressing their solidarity with Dossena and categorically denying the incident , as Elia Caprile and Fabio Pisacane had done immediately after the match. Upon returning to the locker room, Davis allegedly threw a water bottle at the Rossoblu defender's head right in front of the Federal Prosecutor's office. On the pitch, however, the verbal altercation (which came close to a brawl) began in the 91st minute—that is when the alleged racist incident occurred—and continued for three minutes before finally breaking out at the referee's final whistle .
