The talks scheduled for today in London on a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine have been postponed.

"The participants," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov explained, "were unable to agree on positions on some points."

According to Ukrainian media, however, the summit was called off after Zelensky refused to recognize Russia's annexation of Crimea.

Meanwhile, the United States, through Vice President JD Vance, has launched an ultimatum: if Moscow and Kiev do not reach an agreement as soon as possible, the US will withdraw.

“I think it’s time to take one of the final steps, which is to say that we will stop the killing and freeze the borders at a level similar to where we are now,” said Vance, who is visiting India.

“Now, of course, this means that both the Ukrainians and the Russians will have to give up some of the territory they currently own,” he added, reiterating that the US will “withdraw” if there is no agreement.
