The first public outing of the supreme leader of the Taliban

For the first time, the mysterious "supreme leader" of the Taliban, Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, appeared in public. It had never happened since his appointment in 2016 until last night in Kandahar in southern Afghanistan, according to a statement released by Taliban officials.
