Hundreds of migrants intercepted while crossing from Algeria to Sardinia and Spain

In just one week, approximately 320 migrants were intercepted at sea while attempting to reach the coasts of Spain and Sardinia from Algeria.

The Algerian Ministry of Defense announced this, providing a summary of the operational activity of the North African country's coast guard, which in recent days has located several makeshift vessels attempting the clandestine crossing.

The ministry did not provide details on the nationalities of the rescued migrants, who are believed to be mostly from various African countries, particularly the Sahel region.
