Saved from violence thanks to the hand gesture learned on social media

After the case of the 16-year-old who a few days ago, in North Carolina, was saved by her tormentor thanks to the international signal for help caught by a motorist, another woman used the same way to report mistreatment.

The new story comes from Spain. The Mossos d'Esquadra explained what happened. The woman was with her partner in the waiting room of a private clinic in Barcelona when she folded her thumb on the palm of one hand and then closed the other four fingers around it to symbolically trap him. The gesture, which went viral on social media, was invented by the Canadian Women's Foundation. It was noticed by an employee who in turn called the police.

The officers questioned the woman and her partner separately and the latter was later arrested.
