Prince Andrew reached an agreement in the civil lawsuit over Virginia Giuffre's sexual abuse allegations. The royal has undertaken to pay the woman a sum that has remained reserved and also intends to make a "substantial donation" to a charity organization "in support of the rights of victims of abuse", an association that belongs to Virginia Giuffre.

The letter announcing the agreement also admits that Giuffre has "suffered as a victim of abuse and also of unjust public attacks. Jeffrey Epstein is known to have carried on trafficking in young girls for years. Prince Andrew regrets his association with Epstein and praises the courage of Giuffre and the others who have come forward. The prince is committed to demonstrating his regret for his association with Epstein by supporting the battle against sex traffickers and supporting their victims ".

The agreement comes a few weeks after the prince's deposition, who should have been heard under oath by Giuffre's lawyers.

Silence served by Buckingham Palace, which does not comment on the news. The palace, which has always refused to comment on the legal affairs of the Duke of York, has maintained strict secrecy even in these hours.

The agreement, however, will prevent an embarrassing public trial both for the court and for the third child of Queen Elizabeth, already suspended from any official representative office and deprived of titles, patronages and military honors.
