The return from Lebanon of the first seventy soldiers of the Sassari Brigade, who were due to return to Sardinia after a five-month UNIFIL mission in the south of the country, has been postponed by 24 hours.
The postponement, according to what has been learned, was caused by a bird strike, that is, the impact with a bird of the AlbaStar Boeing 737-800 on which the Dimonios were supposed to fly.
The accident required checks and interventions required by safety procedures before the aircraft returned to service.
The flight has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Friday, August 7, with landing at Alghero Airport scheduled for 6:45 PM.
