New York, a garage collapses in Manhattan: one dead and 4 injured

One dead and four injured .

It is the sad balance of the collapse of a garage in New York , in the center of Manhattan.

According to the authorities, 6 people were in the basement at the time of the accident. The firefighters quickly intervened and managed to identify the people involved, thanks also to the use of drones and a " robot dog" .

The injured were treated and taken to the hospital. For fear of more collapses, apartments and businesses in the area have been cleared. The videos show the cars overturned and destroyed, devoured by the concrete chasm. The building was declared " completely unstable " and according to Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell it would have been a "structural collapse".
